For paper dolls and glamour girls

I'm having a hard time picking a favorite this week, the gold dress is sooooo glamourous, the bow dress looks like something an adorable paper doll would wear, and the 40s is super cute and comfortable!
The sweaters and skirt are from my own wardrobe, neither of the pieces really work on me as wonderful as they are. And yeah, thats the same skirt I wore Sunday it's just not made for a gal with hips ;)

Contact me via email or Etsy if you would like more info or a reserve on any of the items.

Hippo Hardware

After a morning of successful vintage hunting in Portland Twila Jean and I stopped by Hippo Hardware, a big old building filled with vintage and antique fixtures and appliances. The light fixture room is floor to ceiling vintage light fixtures, and as soon as you say "Oooh! I want that one!" you see another you want too. And then another and another...

La-dee-da.

Hmmmm, my brain seems to have gone out for the night, so I don't really have much to say, other than here's my outfit today :)

Now off to watch 30 Rock, eat some chocolate truffles, and make a skirt for my imaginary spring weather.

Cool January day.

Winter is pretty mild here in the Northwest United States, and as much as you may hear it rains buckets all year long, it really just stays gray in the winter and as unpredictable as a drunk reality starlet the rest of the year. Most months you may wake up to the sun shining, birds chirping, and a nice warm temperature outside. So you dress for that and the moment you open your front door it seems that the sky has gone dark, the birds are gone, and a hefty wind is blowing a storm in from the coast, or wherever storms come from. So you change. And the weather changes too. And so on and so fourth until you just accept that you'll either look ridiculous wearing a wool jacket and leather boots in 65 degrees, or freezing in shorts and a cotton blouse.
But right now I'm enjoying the predictability of it being 45 degrees and overcast, which means, skirt, sweater, and coat. Just add accessories.

This weeks shop highlights

After a two week break I'm back to listing in my shop with some really fun items. I most definitely wanted to keep the fringe dress and 30s gown, but as it stands I have no plans for a dance party or ball. The fringe dress was so much fun to photograph, I spent most of the time twisting and turning, to capture the movement the oversized fringe holds. And the 30s gown just made me feel like Ginger Rogers, Sam and I even danced a bit while I was wearing it, it has a perfect silky flow :)

As always if you have any questions or would like a reserve just let me know via email or Etsy :)
